The Women’s Army Corps Veterans’ Association was established in 1951, it remains the only women veterans’ organization chartered by Congress. WACVA Saguaro Chapter 68 was chartered by the national organization in 1984. Membership includes those who served in World War II to current day. Community Projects we are involved in:
- Women's Section at AZ StandDown
- Women Veterans Health Expos
- Wreaths

Across America
- Quilts by Rosemary for Women Vets at the State Home
- Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) Recognition Program
- Various other causes

The newspaper’s ombudsman, Jacqueline Smith, said she had been given no reason for her dismissal.
