Keep those calendars open, fall is shaping up to be a good one in Telluride! 🍂

We're excited, first up in September is our community concert on September 10 and then the Balourdet Quartet on September 13. Great music, good company, and plenty of reasons to get outside and enjoy everything this mountain town has to offer this season.

“Chill with the Chamber Music” at the Livery in Norwood, tomorrow, Thursday August 27!!☀️

Wind down after a busy day with live jazz inspired music from the Yak Duo (Kenny Goldman, piano & Yaz Ishikawa, saxophone). Grounds open at 5:30pm, with music running 6-7pm, giving you plenty of time to stake out the perfect spot before things get started.

Bring a picnic, get comfortable, and let the evening's music wash over you. And it's completely free, so round up the whole family and a few friends.

Let's address the classical music myths floating around in your head. 👀

You know the ones with silent, uptight audiences, strict dress codes, and music you need a whole music theory background to appreciate. Turns out, none of that holds up.
Classical music is honestly more "a perfect vibe" than "sit still and don't make a sound." It's the kind of music that grows on you fast, and suddenly you're catching yourself humming a cello line hours later.

The Balourdet String Quartet is coming to Telluride!✨
Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 13, Join us at the Sheridan Opera House for an evening of Ravel, Nicky Sohn and Brahms with one of the most exciting quartets of their generation.

This group has been taking the classical music world by storm, earning acclaim wherever they perform, and now they're bringing that same energy straight to our mountain town. We're a local nonprofit bringing incredible musical talent, both local and national, to the community. One of our favorite things to do is collaborate with other local nonprofits to put on concerts that are totally free and open to everyone.

Join us tomorrow on the deck of the Telluride Science and Innovation Center (Gallery Room in case of rain) for a free community concert, presented in collaboration with local nonprofit Telluride Science. We believe classical music should be accessible and fun — everyone welcome, dogs included! 🎻

What a weekend it was with the New York Philharmonic Brass Quintet! 🎶

From a morning spent with our youngest music lovers at the kids concert, to a full house at the historic Sheridan Opera House. There's nothing quite like watching world-class musicians share their artistry in our little corner of the mountains.

We were also so grateful to celebrate with our generous donors this weekend, whose support makes moments like these possible. And to our incredible community, thank you for showing up and showing out, weekend after weekend. It's because of you that Telluride continues to be a place where music like this can thrive.🏔️🎺

Join us on the deck at the Telluride Science and Innovation Center on Thursday, August 13th for a beautiful community concert, 6-7pm with the San Juan Symphony String Quartet. Music by Mozart, Rimsky-Korsakov and Dvorak and it’s all free!

Kick back and unwind after a day of work while these incredible local musicians fill the air with beautiful live music. Bring a friend, grab a seat, and enjoy the perfect end to your Thursday. ✨

Tomorrow night is going to be something special. ⭐🎺

The New York Philharmonic Principal Brass Quintet is making their way back to Telluride, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome them. These are some of the best brass players in the country, and getting to hear them perform right here in the mountains is a gift we don't take for granted.

Join us, tomorrow, Friday, July 31 at 8pm at The Sheridan Opera House for an evening of gorgeous, inspiring music.

And for the younger one of our community - you can catch them at a special FREE kids concert in collaboration with the Wilkinson Public Library! 11am at the Gondola Plaza (bottom of the farmer’s market)

Telluride Chamber Music was founded on a simple belief, world-class music belongs right here in our Box Canyon. All these years later, that legacy is still going strong! 🎶

This week, we're thrilled to welcome the New York Philharmonic Brass Quintet for a free kids' concert, presented in collaboration with the Wilkinson Public Library! Bring the whole family to the Oak Street Gondola Plaza at 11am on Friday, July 31, for a morning of music, fun, and inspiration. 🎺

Every year, musicians and ensembles from around the world make their way to Telluride. Not only to inspire us with unforgettable concerts, but to also bring music education straight to our community's youngest members.
