The Tekamah chamber of commerce is matching donations this week during the week of giving. Donations can be dropped off at the washington county bank (they boxes with the different organizations) or sent to the Tekamah community foundation.

If you watch channel 6 tonight at 10 o’clock you will see they were at the tekamah corn festival talking with several people and they interviewed me about the jumpstart the heart initiative and what we do with the donations. 100% goes to AEDs and wall mounts to be placed around the community.

We recently replaced the pads on AEDs at the following locations. Chatterbox Brews, Tekamah First United Methodist Church, Tekamah Legion Baseball Field, Tekamah Swimming Pool, Save More Market, and The Tipsy Pig. They are all ready to save a life if the need arises. Thank you to everyone that has donated money to allow this to happen.

Thank you to the Tekamah Fire and Rescue Department for the generous donation. They passed a hat among the members and donated to the Jumpstart the Heart Initiative Tekamah. They freely give their time to the community responding to calls for service and also their own money for an AED. Thank you.
