The Bear Valley Springs Greenhorns wish to Thank Patrick Wickenheiser and everyone who turned out for his clinic today!!! It was great to watch Pat instruct everyone on the flag then apply that to working live cattle and to see how well everyone did!! We had 3 members and 3 non members ride. A group from Bakersfield new to BVS who had nice horses and were a fun group of girls!! Also Thank you so much to our members who showed up to help and to our ladies who were there to audit! ATTENTION!!! Due to light sign ups for this Saturday rather than canceling...Pat has
generously offered to reduce the fee to $125 for members and $150 for non members!! The weather is supposed to cool for the weekend. Don't miss this chance and contact Denise at 805 231-8676 to reserve your time spot!!!

The Bear Valley Springs Greenhorns Club had a great early morning session today!! The session was full and we got back to our roots remembering what we learned from our founder Brad!!
Brian and Lorie provided coffee and pastries to start the day!
Crystal coached everyone for some boxing!
Tim worked with everyone on their roping skills!
We had guest Tyler and Cara join us!
Thank you to everyone and job well done on some great rides!!

Thank you to everyone for a great day for the Bear Valley Springs Greenhorns Club ranch cutting/boxing jackpot!!! Things don't always go smoothly at events like this but it creates memories!!
We started our day with the hospitality table donated by Brian and Lorie Wallace for everyone to fuel up with coffee and goodies!
Our cutting classes went well with good cattle. Moving onto the boxing classes we had our judge Trevor get called away for an emergency and we wish him the best. We had Chip step in to judge the boxing classes and we are greatful for that! The cattle decided we needed some excitement during the boxing which gave us a front row seat to the talents of our local rodeo celebrity...Jessica Cardon!!
We appreciate all of our exhibitors and trainers attendance....Pat Wickenheiser's barn, Kathie Ferrante's barn, Chip Cardon's barn, Jessica Cardon's barn, Travis Mankins and Tyrin Prince!!
We have a few honorable mentions...Chip Cardon for stepping in to judge and for his wins in the cutting classes!
Will Mangrum for his wins in cutting and boxing given he's new to cattle!!
Cyrus for his wins in cutting and boxing with a job well done!
So much appreciation to our Greenhorns members and volunteers, cattle crew and cattle provider and the equestrian center staff for going above and beyond to bring these events
into the Bear Valley Springs equestrian center!!!

The Bear Valley Springs Greenhorns Club extend a big Thank you to Jessica and Chip Cardon for a great turn back clinic!!
They gave great instruction and understanding of the dynamic in the cutting pen!! Whether you are the cutter, corner help or the turn back rider there was something to learn today and understand how important each position is for the cutter to be successful!! Thank you Jessica and Chip and to all the participants!! We look forward to another turn back clinic with them and highly encourage more of you to come out and be privileged to the information we got today!! Thank you to our crew for a full day of prep for our 2 clinics and ranch cutting/boxing jackpot!! John and Mark got the cattle gathered, sorted and hauled. Brian,Lorie and Carol joined in to get the arena readied for our events!! And to Paisley for organizing entries!! Thank you to everyone who's entered up to participate with us!!!
