What a day! I'm tired, sore, and ready for my own bed. But I'm also grateful for the time I've had with Legs and the Bliebonnet community.

Legacy earned a 1st in her freestyle, a 2nd in her obstacle course, and Reserve Champion overall!!

Unfortunately, Legacy did not find her perfect home today. However, she will be coming back home with me to continue her education and find that perfect fit! I know there is someone out there that NEEDS this amazing mare 💕

6 1/2 weeks. That's how little time we had together. Normally if someone came to me with the goal of 6 weeks undersaddle and then hitting the show ring I would tell them they are crazy. But here we are Legacy. Doing just that. 😳

While I wish Legs and I had more time togther because we are just getting to know each other, I do feel grateful for the opportunity to spend the last six weels with this sweet girl. With patience, a kind hand and more time she is going to be incredible!

As we go into this weekend I keep reminding my competitive side have fun, enjoy your horse, make some memories and at the end of the day we all win when Legacy gets her Happliy Ever After 💕

We cant wait to see you all there!!

Legacy took a trip out to a local playday today! She is in no way a seasoned playday horse, and I am in no way a seasoned playday rider 😳 but even so she took great care of me!! She tried so hard for me on all the patterns. But she did forget what steering was a few times and decided to go over the pole not around it...twice 🤣🤣 There is also a train track that runs right by the arena and ahe handled the teain coming through like she has done it a million time. This girl has HEART!! If she's not on your list already she should be!!!

Not going to lie, I am a little nervous about our freestyle. I think omthe obstacle course will go well. We have been working a lot of the questions being asked already with confidence. But the freestyle worries me because our canter and trot to canter transitions are currently pretty ugly 😬 She will do them, but it fast unbalanced and chaotic. We will be putting a lott of focus into balancing in the canter this next week

It might be a good thing the expo is only 12 days away, or else I may not want Legacy to leave. Every day she grows on me more. When I first got her she was a little hesitant to accept affection and she was resistant to work because she was afraid to give the wrong answer. But over the last 5 weeks she has realized maybe softening up to me wouldnt be so bad. She now meets me in the pasture and tries so much harder in the arena. She is going to make someone a lovely partner! And she ponies!!

Today we rode in the 42nd Annual Springtown Wild West Parade, and Legacy was a saint! I miss counted when loading saddle...

Today we rode in the 42nd Annual Springtown Wild West Parade, and Legacy was a saint! I miss counted when loading saddles for all my students and ended up one saddle short. Which meant I got the joy of riding the full one hour parade ba****ck . I was a little worried how she would handle it and was pleased surprised when I was able to relax and enjoy the ride!
