It's official. (Finally) The tournament is a lot of work. Its demanding on my time and emotions. By the time is over, life snaps back into action and its full steam ahead with the day to day. I fall behind post tournament with winner plaques and sponsor recognition.
Year one was year one and had all the challenges.
Year two we doubled in size.
This year we are trying to double our efforts again with sponsorship amd fund raising.

But that being said I'm going to stay on top of everything more year round!

It is with the heaviest of hearts, that we have to deliver the gut wrenching news, of the passing of our friend Dave Reed. Dave was an incredible father to three boys, a devoted friend to many, and a loving husband to Tarra Reed. A true EAST, Tauntonian.

I've met Dave's boys. They are kind and gentle just like they're mom and dad. Tarra you should be so proud of those young men you two created.

When you speak with Dave about "what are your hobbies?, What do you do you like to do with your spare time?, If you could go anywhere...?"... All roads lead back to Tarra Reed. 🫠 Fact is, the kid didn't want to do anything if it didn't involve his boys and Tarra. He loved his wife, and watching the two of you fumble over one another is something to aspire to.

Rest easy Dave. We'll keep an eye on yours. Give Da Baba a hug for us. 🥺💔

Tis the season, and we're back! We were connected with Kole and his family. Kole was affected by spinal meningitis this year. He was in the hospital for a long time. He got better, then spiked a fever, he got better then got sick again. It's been an up and down roller-coaster that had affected his mobility, speech, and quality of life. Due to the amount of care and appointments his mother has been unable to work for months. We're certain there is a mountain of bills on the way. Thanks to our friend for connecting us with the family. Im the name of Gary "The Barber" Medeiros we hope this helps.

We're done. The 2nd Annual Gary "The Barber" Medeiros Foundation Tournament is done!!

During my opening remarks I thanked everyone 1000 times. We are not an inexpensive Tournament to play. We are not an inexpensive Tournament to sponsor. So many people made major investments of time and money.

During my opening remarks I also apologized. For about 8 months I go into begger, pleader, borrower, hounder, mode. I had to find new and inventive ways to be the most annoying person possible to get the money, raffle items, players, Sponsors, and donations this Tournament and Foundation needs. It feels weird some times. A couple times I just started calling and walking into the front door of random businesses. With pretty great success actually. The people are out there. The desire to help and contribute is out there. So, sorry. Sorry not sorry. Its for Gary and soon it's about the people we help.

The absolute out pouring of love and generosity was incredible. Last year we had about 15 raffle items. This year we exceeded my goal of 30! Thank you!
