Did you know the color of a child’s pumpkin basket may mean something?

💙 A blue pumpkin may be used to let others know a child is autistic and may communicate, react, or trick or treat differently.

🩵 A teal pumpkin is associated with food allergy awareness and can signal the need for allergy friendly or non food treats.

💜 A purple pumpkin may be used to represent epilepsy awareness.

This Halloween, a little patience and kindness can go a long way. Not every child will say “trick or treat,” make eye contact, wear a costume, or be able to eat every piece of candy.

Different doesn’t mean they deserve a different Halloween.

You are our hero, saving the lives of others! Until we meet again, my sweet boy, we’ll run and walk and love you in every single thing we do every day of our lives! 💔❤️🥰

Important Information:

Parking & Arrival
All event attendees should plan to park at Green Island Boulevard Garage (115 Green Island Boulevard, Worcester, MA 01608). Parking at the Green Island Boulevard Garage is available for a discounted event rate of $6.00. The Green Island Boulevard Garage is located approximately 0.2 miles from the Gate D entrance on Madison Street!

Handicap Parking: Available on Madison & Canal Streets near Gate D
Entrance: Use Gate D at Polar Park (search “Polar Park” in GPS). We recommend arriving by 8:00 AM.

Team Captain Supply Drop Off: If you are a team captain and need to drop off supplies for your team table, please look for the Team Captain supply drop-off signage on Madison Street near the Gate D entrance!

Security
All guests will go through a security screening upon entry, following Worcester Red Sox ballpark standards. While there are no bag size restrictions, please note that outside food and beverages, alcohol, glass bottles, weapons, pepper spray, pocketknives, and pets (except service animals) are not permitted. Security staff may prohibit any item deemed unsafe.

Fundraising & Contributions
Cash and check contributions will be accepted on-site at the registration area. Please make all checks payable to New England Donor Services and include a note indicating the team and/or individual name the contribution should be credited to. All event day contributions will be added to your Classy individual and/or team fundraising page after the event.

Here we go, starting the week of the Saturday Polar Park run/walk for New England Donor Services - and, of course, honoring Karson. It will be an emotional day, and we’ll smile through tears when we see Karson on the Jumbotron. Organ donation is the ultimate gift. Help us celebrate our heroes and give hope to families depending upon organ donation. SEE YOU SOON!

This is why theres no eating on a bus. This is also why its so important to not send snacks with nuts to school. Your body changes every 7 years and you can become allergic to anything at any time.

One in 13 children, or roughly two in every classroom, has a food allergy. Whether you're a parent, educator, caregiver, or classmate, everyone has a role to play in helping students with food allergies feel protected, welcome, and ready to learn.
