๐๏ธ Summer Camp Opportunities โ Pack 49 | 2026
Summer Camp is one of the most important and memorable parts of the Scouting experience. The Scouting Movement began when Lord Baden-Powell brought 20 boys from different backgrounds together for a camp on Brownsea Island. Over a century later, that same spirit of adventure, friendship, and growth continues today.
Scouts who go to camp, stay in Scouts.
Thatโs why we strongly encourage every Scout to attend at least one week of summer camp โ and even better, invite siblings or friends to join the fun.
๐ฒ Why Scouts Should Go to Camp
Camp is where Scouting truly comes alive. Away from screens and daily routines, Scouts build confidence, independence, and friendships in a safe, supportive environment.
At camp, Scouts:
Learn by doing and trying new things
Build teamwork and problem-solving skills
Gain confidence and independence
Make friendships that often last for years
From archery and boating to campfires and songs, camp creates experiences that canโt be duplicated anywhere else. Many Scouts remember camp as the highlight of their Scouting journey long after uniforms are outgrown.
