A fantastic turnout for the Grand Re-opening of The Center at Olney/Department of Human Services! If you are or know a senior citizen in the community be sure to go see our friends at the center to sign up for programs and services. They do a ton of stuff everyday! No senior should be alone with a great place to hangout like this.

International Overdose Awareness Day | August 31, 2026
Today, communities around the world come together to remember the lives lost to overdose, support the families and loved ones left behind, and raise awareness that overdose is preventable.
This year marks 25 years of International Overdose Awareness Day, with the theme “25 Years On. Still Needed.”
Overdose continues to impact individuals, families, and communities everywhere. By raising awareness, reducing stigma, sharing information, and treating those affected by substance use with care and respect, we can help prevent overdose and save lives.
We remember those we have lost and stand with all those whose lives have been impacted by overdose.
