Our CEO Amie Parikh was in NYC for Blooming Day 2026! 🌿💙

Amie was a featured panelist on "Better Health, Together: Aligning Healthcare and Social Care for Whole Person Health" — a powerful conversation about what it really takes to build care systems that work for everyone.

The room was full of leaders from healthcare, government, public health, and community organizations all asking the same question: how do we get better aligned to reach the people who need us most?

So proud to be part of these conversations and to keep pushing for a more integrated, equitable care system in our community.

Community health is everyone's responsibility — and on June 4th, that showed up in a big way.

Amie Parikh was among nearly 200 attendees at Nonprofit Westchester's Advancing Community Health forum at Manhattanville University, where leaders from nonprofits, healthcare, business, government, and higher education came together to dig into the real issues facing Westchester residents.

From housing and food access to mental health and digital equity, the breakout sessions covered the full picture of what it means to build healthier communities — and what it takes across sectors to get there.

Air Quality Alert for the Hudson Valley ⚠️

Hot weather and increased ozone pollution are affecting air quality across parts of the Hudson Valley. Poor air quality can make it harder to breathe—especially for children, older adults, and people with asthma, COPD, or other breathing conditions.

To stay safe:
🌤 Limit outdoor activity during the afternoon and evening
💧 Drink plenty of water
🏠 Stay indoors when possible
😷 Pay attention to breathing symptoms like coughing or shortness of breath
📱 Check local air quality updates before spending long periods outside

If you or a loved one has a respiratory condition, make sure medications and inhalers are easily available.

Your health and safety matter. Please take extra care during periods of poor air quality and high heat.

Say hello to HVCC's newest board members!

The Hudson Valley Care Coalition welcomes Marlene Ripa, Senior Vice President of Business Development and Network Strategy at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall, and Matilde L. Román, Senior Vice President and Chief Inclusion and Impact Officer at WMCHealth, to its Board of Directors.

Ripa and Román bring decades of experience in healthcare strategy, system transformation, and advancing equitable access to care. Their appointments come as HVCC continues to expand a model of care that connects clinical services with the social factors that shape health.

Introducing Hudson Valley Care Coalition’s inaugural newsletter!

At the Hudson Valley Care Coalition (HVCC), we believe better health starts in our communities, not just in a doctor’s office.

HVCC brings together three core programs: Health Home, Behavioral Health IPA, and the Social Care Network to connect Medicaid members with coordinated care and essential supports like food, housing, and transportation.

Across seven counties, we work alongside 160+ partners, including nonprofit community-based organizations, health care and mental health care providers, and managed care organizations, to build a more connected ecosystem that addresses whole-person care.
