This August, we celebrated National Health Center Week with the Blackstone Charitable Foundation to help kids start the school year confident, prepared and healthy!

In just one session, this powerhouse team of volunteers assembled 600 backpacks stuffed with school supplies to support the children and families across the communities we serve. These backpacks are packed with essential supplies and, more importantly, a reminder that our neighbors are cared for as we continue delivering high-quality, affordable health care. Beyond providing critical learning tools, this initiative reinforces our core mission and partnerships like this showcase the vital role community health centers play every day.

Thank you to the amazing volunteers from Blackstone for their continued support for our pediatric patients.

Last week, our Church Ave. Health Center hosted a community baby shower! The afternoon was pure joy, filled with the sounds of toddlers, newborns, expecting mothers and dads! The event drew 30 community members and Sun River Health patients.

Our Community Engagement team facilitated referrals providing linkages to Health Holmes and two primary care appointments. Our dynamo Meet & Greet Provider Education Panel included: Christina Guillen MD, Down State University Pediatrician, Daisy Grueso MD, Sun River Health OB/GYN and Alyesa Tedesco, Sun River Health Nutrionist.
