If you've ever wanted to see yourself on the silver screen, now's your chance!
Thank you to everyone who has responded to our call for actors for the short film, "Suppertime III: The Final Course."
We are still casting background zombies, so we wanted to share information about the film again.
The deadline for background actors to sign up is April 10.
Our previous announcement is here, with some edits:
Haunted Pamlico is seeking background zombies for the short film, "Suppertime III: The Final Course."
This will be a non-paid, non-union, all-volunteer production. Our projected shooting dates are April 18-19 at Raised in a Barn Farm in Chocowinity. Call will be 9 a.m. each day. In the event of bad weather, we'll reschedule the shoot for May on dates to be announced.
Every actor will be listed in the credits and will receive a free pass to our Carnival of Darkness film festival and Halloween celebrations in October. We'll provide lunch and bottled water during each shooting day.
If you reach out to us regarding the film, please provide your email address and phone number. Actors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the shoot.
We're casting for two kinds of zombies:
1. Least decayed. Frayed clothes, sunken eyes and cheeks, some blood around mouths.
2. More advanced decay. Clothes shabbier. Makeup heavier, with some rotting skin.
Background actors will have to provide their own costumes, but we'll be glad to help with distressing those costumes and otherwise preparing them for the shoot. Also, we'll have makeup artists on hand to help craft each look.
Each role may involve heavy makeup, a long shooting day, walking and standing for long periods, and moving over difficult terrain.
To apply, please email us at [email protected]. Be sure to include a headshot and a list of any relevant experience in film or theater. Audition reels are welcome, also. We'll be glad to answer any questions you may have.
We've cast the principals, but our goal is to have a large number of zombies for this project, which we aim to premiere on Oct. 16 during Carnival of Darkness at the Turnage Theater. As we envision it, the film premiere will involve live actors and musicians and a slew of surprises for the audience. We're not just making a short film; we're building an immersive experience for our patrons, who will be drawn into the theme in unexpected ways.
Come, be part of an innovative production that will use puppetry, amazing acting, practical effects, a sizable company of artists and technicians, the set of the Nights of Fright haunted attraction, and the latest in digital-effects technology. This is a special opportunity to participate in a groundbreaking work in independent film. "Suppertime III" will expand boundaries in a way that will make us rethink what's possible for low-budget horror filmmaking.
Join us.
