Here goes nothing…
I’ve decided to start writing.

Not because I have grief figured out. Not because I have answers. Just because I need a place to process, remember, and make sense of this new life I’m learning to live.

Maybe these words will simply become a journal for me to look back on. Maybe they’ll help someone else feel a little less alone.

Today would have been John Cochol’s 40th birthday.

John was the life of every party, the loudest cheerleader for the people he loved, and the kind of person who could make anyone laugh. He loved life deeply, and he lived it fully. His joy, energy, and love for people left a mark that can never be replaced.

Here’s to John — gone far too soon, but loved beyond words and missed every single day.

So today, do something that brings joy. Laugh louder. Love harder. Cheer someone on. Spread a little kindness in honor of our guy.

We can't wait for the inaugural Cochol Cup in memory of the man, the myth, the legend himself, John Cochol.

John lived his life fully and without abandon. He brought joy, love and laughter everywhere he went.

We are so very thankful that Tampa Bay Rowdies, Sarasota Paradise, and USL Championship are helping us honor that legacy and spread joy through our community.
