Your position in Christ changes your perspective.

1 John 5:4 says, “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world.”

Today at 10:00 AM Central Standard Time, I’ll be sharing my message, “Your Position in Christ Changes Your Perspective,” from the Forever Free Conference.

This is something I have been pondering for a while, and I truly believe it is a word that will help you see from who you are in Christ instead of what you may be facing in the natural.

I also want to thank my good friend Mark Machen for inviting April and I. We are so grateful for him and for what the Lord is doing through Forever Free.

Most Christians who understand faith, our authority in Christ, confession, etc., are trying to make something happen, but you were never meant to heal yourself.

Remember, grace provided the cure. Grace put the medicine inside your spirit. Grace will do the work; you simply need to be aware of what you have. It is not your job to work for what Jesus provides.

Jesus said, “Without Me, you can do nothing.” We have been trying to heal ourselves by making enough confessions, reading enough chapters in our Bible, and doing all sorts of good things. These are things we should be doing to maintain our fellowship with God, but these things will not get you what grace provides.

Don’t make the mistake of working for your healing....

Your only job is to stay connected and this has everything to do with your mind. Grace united you with Christ so that everything that flows in Him can flow in you. Do you see the connection?

What if we’ve misunderstood “Jehovah Rapha”?

Most people hear:
“God heals you when you get sick.”

But in Exodus 23, the promise sounds completely different:

“I’ll take sickness away from your midst.”

Not just healing after the fact…
Protection.
Health.
Wholeness.

The Old Covenant promise wasn’t:
“You’ll definitely get sick, but I’ll heal you.”

It was:
“Because I am your healer, sickness won’t even come near you.”

“I haven’t prayed enough.”

Last year at Advance Tampa a woman in her 70's shared with us that when she first saw kids moving around the room during ministry time she wanted to stop them from "interrupting"...until she realized they were laying hands on the sick, too. Her heart was humbled by their faith and her own thoughts were restored to the simplicity of healing. Adults make it way more complicated than it has to be.

Revival always starts with the young people and ignites the older.

So, yes...your children are welcome. In fact, we pushed the dates further into June this year so more families can join us after the school year.

Let them come. They won't be entertained in a room, but if you'll sit in the tension that maybe they'll wiggle, color, whine a little or need to step out for a few minutes, they might just catch fire and experience the flow of heaven in a way you didn't expect.
