Congratulations, State Senator (Lt Governor) Jarrid “Jay” Collins, for being appointed by Governor DeSantis as our new Lt. Governor. In the photo is another Veteran and State Senator Danny Burgess.

I know that as Lt. Governor, you can't solely focus on Veterans' and their families' issues. Gov DeSantis made an excellent choice.

I spent Independence day watching fireworks with my dad.

He is a retired Vietnam Combat Veteran.

My wife took this picture while we watched the fireworks.

This picture is now my favorite picture of my dad and me.

He is 88 years old and will be 89 soon.

He is the reason I joined the Army.

We both celebrate Independence Day because we are proud to have served and fought for the freedoms America sometimes take for granted.

This isn't post isn't a political statement.

The only message we want to share.

Celebrate Independence Day

Its not about being a Repubican nor Democrat.
