Yesterday the Tampa Chapter SAR celebrated its second Liberty Tree dedication of the year in Temple Terrace, FL. We were very honored to have the City dedicate an existing Live Oak Tree in Ben Lomond Park as it's City Liberty Tree. Mayor Andy Ross gave a city Proclamation at the dedication, and had several City staff and other officials present with him. Congressional aides from Senator Rick Scott's office and Congresswoman Laurel Lee's office we're in attendance to also to give greetings and comments. Past Tampa chapter president Robbie Robinson stood in for FLSSAR president Jonathan Hunt to pass on comments from the state Florida Society Sons of the American Revolution . Several NSDAR regents and SAR presidents from local chapters attended. It was a nice turnout, beautiful day, and a great tree dedication.

Today Terry Doan and I (Will Wagner-Hart) attended both US Naturalization ceremonies at the US Federal Courthouse for the Middle District. This was a very moving ceremony for everyone - and all seemed appreciative of the ability to become US citizens. Many enjoyed also being able to take pictures with us lol.
