Special Forces Association Chapter LX Special Forces Association Chapter LX is a Non-Profit 501 (c) (19) Veterans fraternal organization. These missions make Special Forces unique in the U.S.

Special Forces units perform seven doctrinal missions: Unconventional Warfare, Foreign Internal Defense, Special Reconnaissance, Direct Action, Combatting Terrorism, Counter-proliferation, and Information Operations. military because they are employed throughout the three stages of the operational continuum: peacetime, conflict, and war. The U.S. Army Combatives School and its documented training progression, the program was built around progressive training levels in which “the student can become the teacher as they progress through the training” .

The widely recognized structure is:

Level 1 – Basic Combatives Course (BCC)

Foundation skills for all Soldiers.

Focus on dominant positions, escapes, and basic submissions.

Level 2 – Tactical Combatives Course (TCC)

Adds more advanced grappling, takedowns, and tactical application.

Level 3 – Senior Instructor Course

Prepares Soldiers to run unit‑level programs and teach Levels 1 & 2.

Level 4 – Master Trainer Course

The highest level.

Produces Master Trainers capable of teaching and managing combatives programs across units.

This is explicitly described as the mission of the Combatives Master Trainer Course at Fort Benning.
