All PCNA board members are expected to:

-Attend Quarterly PCNA Board meetings (4x per year)
-Attend Quarterly General Member PCNA Meetings (3-4x/year)
-Chair/Co-Chair a Committee (Communications, Parks & Beautification, Land Use & Zoning, Business District, other committees to be formed)
-Host Quarterly Committee Meetings
-Assist PCNA Board and General Members with Neighborhood Needs/Improvements
-Attend meetings hosted by City/County and other Stakeholders as needed
-Engage with neighborhood residents to act as a liaison and steward of the Association

As the South Selmon Capacity Project advances, the Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority (THEA) is inviting our neighbors and local residents to attend a Community Open House on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Kate Jackson Center (821 S. Rome Ave.).

Attendees will have the opportunity to review the latest project maps, see updated renderings of underpasses and noise walls, and speak directly with members of the project team. This is a valuable opportunity to learn more about the project and ask questions.

Are you a high school student in Hillsborough County, and curious about how cities grow and change? Do you want to explore real-world urban planning, transportation, sustainability and economic development—all while touring your community and connecting with professionals?

Future Leaders in Planning (FLiP) is a hands-on summer program designed to introduce students to the world of urban planning—a field we often don’t discover until college. Through this immersive experience, students gain a deeper understanding of how communities are shaped.

FLiP 2026 runs June 8-12 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Applications are open through March 1, 2026! Thanks to the Planning Commission - Hillsborough County for hosting and guiding this excellent program!

The Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission, in coordination with the City Planning Department, is overseeing a multi-phased, multi-year plan update that will lead to in-depth revisions to the Tampa Comprehensive Plan through the 2045 horizon year.
