A large part of what Just Initiative does every day involves helping families navigate the housing crisis. Finding resources, advocating with landlords, going through the process of preventing or exiting homelessness together with moms and dads and our neighbors in general.

At times there are situations that seem impossible but with the grace of God and the help of hard working Family Support Specialists like Stephanie many people who were in this situation will sleep in their own bed tonight.

We apologize, but the Boutique will be closed this week. We have encountered some issues with the building that need to be addressed.

We are working on resolutions/alternatives and hope to reopen next Wednesday.

We will continue to fight childhood homelessness in Tampa.

No child should be without a safe place to call home and we are focused on making this a reality in our own backyard.

If you don't know, it is happening, babies and young children slept outside in Tampa, FL last night and will again tonight due to the housing crisis. Lets stop this reality.

At the Tuesday Nite Live in the parents room, we celebrated major accomplishments from the last month together as parents:

--3 dads and 1 mom started new jobs 🎉
--mom, dad, and 3 kids moved out of homelessness and into their own place 🎉
-- 1 mom found the right preschool for her daughter to start school for the first time 🎉
-- 1 mom started her commitment to go back to school and further her education 🎉

And then we talked about things we've done lately that made us proud as parents regardless how small or large.

This is a place of community where we support each other, talk and pray through hard stuff and celebrate our wins together. Some people shared that anywhere else in their lives people would try to tear them down or take away their accomplishments and it feels so good to have a place where we know we are all cheering for each other.

At Just, we live what it means to be better together.

Instead of John 3:16, what if 1 John 4:16 was the most famous scripture? What if this was the main scripture everyone trying to follow Jesus knew and tried to live in to?

We all start out with big dreams.

And somewhere along the way, life can make some of those dreams harder to reach.

That’s why community matters. We were never meant to do life alone. We need people who believe in our dreams, walk alongside us, and help make the way a little easier.

At , that’s the kind of community we’re building, coming together and help each other’s dreams become possible. Celebrating the wins and supporting each other through the hard times. We are part of the neighborhood ecosystem, we are a neighborhood hub, we are people who see each other as people, not projects or problems, but each of us made in the image of God. And without each other do dreams even matter anyway?

Thank you to everyone including for helping the kids in our community be Back-To-School-Ready!

We also have a "stay ready" initiative for all the Just Kids - we keep a little store at our office of school supplies and backpacks. On Tuesday nights at TNL, a child can shop throughout the year for whatever they need to be prepared to learn.

Soaking in the last days of summer this week laughing with good friends!! ☀️😎

With school starting tomorrow, let's commit to praying for and supporting our kids and the teachers and administrators.

We pray --

**Kids will learn they are smart and can do hard things. And they will thrive.

**Teachers will be filled with inspiration and creative ways to open the minds of students to a love for learning.

**Administrators will dream of and implement even better ways to run schools to create environments where everyone is seen and loved and respected. An environment that fosters positive growth for all.

We pray --

**Every difficult and negative situation would be handled in a way that would foster growth for all involved.

**For the schools that are called "Success Centers" to embody their name by the your grace and power!

**Teachers would not lack in any resource and be empowered in every way.

**All schools would be safe from violence.

**Students considering dropping out would not fall between the cracks and there would be a trusted adult that is able to encourage them in their time of need.

God, make a way for our kids.
We know our children are our future.
And you are our hope.
