For families experiencing homelessness or housing instability, something as simple as a stocked pantry can provide much-needed relief during an incredibly difficult time.
Right now, our shelves are empty of food items and we’re asking our Tampa Bay community to help us RESTOCK THE PANTRY.

Your donation can help ensure that families participating in Dawning Family Services programs have access to food and basic necessities as they work toward stable housing and a more secure future.

Earlier this month, we gathered for our Make an IMPACT Breakfast. Since then, one message has stayed with us:
Sometimes success is wonderfully ordinary.
It’s a mother knowing where her children will sleep tonight.
A child climbing into their own bed.
A family making dinner together in their own kitchen.
A parent going to work knowing their family has a safe place to come home to.

At Dawning Family Services, we know there is no single face of family homelessness, no single story, and no single path home.
Every family’s journey is different. Our role is to meet families where they are, walk alongside them, and remind them they do not have to navigate that journey alone.

Timothy’s story, shared at this year’s Make an IMPACT Breakfast, is a powerful reminder that behind every statistic is a family, a journey, and the possibility of a new beginning.

Party With A Purpose
A big Thank You to Christopher & Carmen Wharton who hosted a private gathering at Keel Farms benefiting Dawning Family Services.

Bringing together friends and family for an evening of connection, conversation, and community, the purpose of this special gathering is to learn more about the important work Dawning Family Services is doing to address homelessness and support individuals and families in Hillsborough County.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to come together, learn more about this important mission, and explore how we can make a meaningful difference in our community.

Partnership turns compassion into measurable impact.

In 2025, Dawning Family Services helped 1,640 individuals including approximately 1,050 children across 459 families overcome housing instability. This work is strengthened by businesses and organizations that believe every family deserves a safe and stable place to call home.

We proudly recognize Gerdau, Salty Palm Cleaning Co., Raymond James, BayCare, and Tampa Housing Authority for supporting the 2026 Make an Impact Breakfast. Join them in creating brighter futures.
