This Christmas, we are reminded that love does not end, joy does not fade, and light is never truly lost. Even in seasons of grief, the beauty of connection, kindness, and faith continues to shine.

As you gather with family and friends, may you hold one another a little closer, cherish the moments that matter most, and carry forward the love you’ve been given.

Small acts of kindness, shared laughter, and moments together are the gifts that last.

Last week, we had the honor of dropping off some small gifts for Libby’s class—3D-printed fidget toys and Spring Garden yellow and burgundy Jesus bracelets.

We were greeted at the door with a sign that said, “Do it for Libby” which is their class motto.

We were deeply touched to receive handmade Christmas cards created by Libby’s classmates. Each card was a beautiful reminder of how deeply she is loved and how her light continues to shine through those who knew her.

This visit filled our hearts with gratitude and peace. Moments like these remind us why this foundation exists—to continue spreading love and kindness, just as Lilly and Libby did every single day.

“I'm not going to pretend that this is easy.

I've always been a straight shooter and very blatantly honest. Just who I am... My daddy always taught me say what you mean and mean what you say.

Knowing I had to place 3 ornaments on that memorial tree last night made me physically sick all day. Experts say that your level and length of grief is equivalent to the amount of LOVE you had and poured into the ones you lost. I could not have loved these 3 people an ounce more.

"Jealous of the angels" is an understatement because they now have 3 AMAZING on their team! It does bring me comfort knowing that I have those 3 on MY Team too watching over me every minute of every day.

Thank you Mindy for such a precious memorial service. Each of you always go above and beyond, and I would not have trusted anyone else to take care of the people I love.”

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Miller Funeral Home for their beautiful Christmas Memorial Service. Our family was honored to place Lilly and Libby’s ornament as well as their grandfather’s on the tree.

The Cross Ties Band gave a beautiful performance of Graves Into Gardens. This song holds a special place in our hearts, as it was played at the girls’ funeral. Mindy specially requested that they learn it for the service, and they delivered.

Please keep Lilly and Libby’s family in your prayers as we face this holiday season.

Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours.

This holiday season we encourage you to hug your kids a little tighter, love on your family a little extra, and don’t forget to tell the people in your life just how much they mean to you.

Give yourself permission to slow down. It’s okay to choose rest, to choose simplicity, and to choose family first.

On August 21, 2025, two sisters, Lilly and Libby McCain, went to their heavenly home together. These girls were known for their contagious happiness and bright spirits, and their legacy lives on in the hearts of all those who love them. They touched many, many lives in their time on earth; a truth that’s made evident each time a family member, friend, classmate or team mate speaks their name.

The Lilly and Libby McCain Foundation, Inc. has been established in their honor to support the youth of West Georgia and East Alabama. We will continue to spread love and light as Lilly and Libby both did. Follow along on this journey toward creating beauty from ashes.
