Most dogs brought into our foster program are dogs from Wakulla County Animal Control (in Crawfordville FL) and the surrounding areas. The WCAC shelter is a kill facility and we do our best to save as many of these dogs as possible. The adoption fee for our foster dogs is $200 and $250 for puppies. The fee covers vaccines, spay/neuter, deworming and microchipping. For puppies too young to be spay

ed or neutered at adoption we will schedule that procedure through our rescue's veterinarians office once it is old enough. As a rescue we are pro spay/neuter. Please be advised that applicants should have all current pets spay/neutered before applying. We are always in need of more foster homes. We provide all the vetting, supplies, and necessities, you provide the warm loving home. If you are interested in becoming a foster, send us an email at [email protected] today! The CCAR Foster Program holds weekly adoption events at PetSmart, 1759 Apalachee Parkway in Tallahassee. Dog and Cat adoptions on Saturdays from 11:30 until 3.

WELL… TAR​​NI HAS LEFT THE BUILDING. 🎉🐾

And for the BEST possible reason.

ADOPTED! ❤️

Tarni has officially found their family, and we couldn’t be happier to watch another CAUZICAN pup head into the life we’ve been hoping they’d find.

But before we close this chapter, we need to thank the people behind so many of these stories:

Our fosters.

They open their homes knowing they’ll probably fall a little bit in love.

They take the pictures. Give us the updates. Learn the quirks. Provide the safe place.

And eventually, if we’ve done our job right, they have to say goodbye.

That’s fostering. And that’s how dogs like Tarni get from needing us… to being HOME.

Congratulations, sweet pup. Go live your very best life. ❤️

Boodha GOT HIS YES! ❤️🐾

Our sweet Buddha has officially been ADOPTED!

And somewhere tonight, instead of being a dog waiting for his family, he gets to simply be their dog. 🥹

This is why fostering matters.

A foster gives a dog somewhere safe to land, time to decompress, and the chance for us to learn who they really are while we work on finding their forever home.

Then we get to make posts like this one. ❤️

Congratulations, Buddha, and congratulations to your new family!

And a HUGE thank you to the fosters who make these happy endings possible. We truly cannot do this without you.

They’ve spent most of their lives together. We’d really like to keep it that way. ❤️

Meet Ace & Harley — two little guys who suddenly need somewhere new to land, and we’re hoping that somewhere has room for both.

🐾 Ace — 8-year-old Boston Terrier, about 15 lbs
🐾 Harley — 10-year-old Cavalier King Charles/Papillon mix, about 10 lbs

Both are fixed and up to date on their vaccinations.

We’re looking for a foster home OR, even better, a foster-to-adopt home where these two can stay together while we figure out their next chapter.

They’re 25 pounds of dog combined, so basically one medium dog with twice the personality. 😂

But more importantly, when everything else in their world is changing, they still have each other.

We’d really love to keep it that way.
