Cauzican Foster Dogs The Cauzican Care Animal Rescue - Cauzican Foster Dog Page is one of the great avenues to promote our foster dogs currently in our program.

Most dogs brought into our foster program are dogs from Wakulla County Animal Control (in Crawfordville FL) and the surrounding areas. The WCAC shelter is a kill facility and we do our best to save as many of these dogs as possible. The adoption fee for our foster dogs is $200 and $250 for puppies. The fee covers vaccines, spay/neuter, deworming and microchipping. For puppies too young to be spayed or neutered at adoption we will schedule that procedure through our rescue's veterinarians office once it is old enough. As a rescue we are pro spay/neuter. Please be advised that applicants should have all current pets spay/neutered before applying. We are always in need of more foster homes. We provide all the vetting, supplies, and necessities, you provide the warm loving home. If you are interested in becoming a foster, send us an email at [email protected] today! The CCAR Foster Program holds weekly adoption events at PetSmart, 1759 Apalachee Parkway in Tallahassee. Dog and Cat adoptions on Saturdays from 11:30 until 3.

Meet Rusty — the neighborhood watch captain who moonlights as a lifeguard. 😂

This boy LOVES water. Birdbath, puddle, hose — if it's wet, Rusty is in it. His foster caught him standing in the birdbath like his personal pool.

He loves playing with other dogs, but entertains himself just fine too. He'll sit and watch people and wildlife like he's keeping tabs on the neighborhood.

And on walks? Rusty would like to help hold the leash, please. 😂

At night he's an angel — sleeps all night, great in his kennel. Whiny at bedtime? Turn on a sound machine. Goodnight, Rusty. 😴 Still working on potty training.

Somebody's couch is missing a dog. 🥹

Eddy has been practicing for months. Pillow? Claimed. Blanket? Stolen. At least one stuffy? Carried everywhere.

He has his dog friends, his people, his spot on the couch. He falls asleep with his head on a pillow like he's had a long day at the office.

There's just one thing missing — the person whose couch he's supposed to be doing all of this on.

Eddy is about 8 months old, and his foster family will tell you he's seriously the sweetest boy. He loves other dogs, loves being close to his people — goofy, cuddly, and he'll make you laugh and then steal your blanket.

And somehow, he's still waiting. Maybe you're the one he's been practicing for. ❤️

Meet Lulu — about a year old, a Pyrenees/Collie mix, and the whole package. 💛

She's got all the grown-up stuff down: potty trained, crate trained, leash trained, and smart enough to pick up anything you teach her.

And she's FUN. Lulu is pure joy — she loves to play, adores other dogs, is wonderful with kids, and brings the kind of happy energy that makes a house feel alive. Her perfect home has a good-sized yard and people who love being outside doing things.

Her foster says that underneath all that playfulness there's the softest, sweetest nature.

If your family has room to run, another dog to wrestle with, and a leash that's always ready — Lulu's already packed. 🐾

Meet Irving. 🐾
Two months ago he was the shy pup who needed a few minutes to feel safe. Look at him now — playing, smiling, all lover. Irving's come out of his shell in the best way.

Rebecca and Sims have already chosen each other. Now they just need a family to choose them both. 🐾❤️

Some dogs become foster friends.

And then there's Rebecca and Sims.

These two are basically attached at the hip.

Where one goes, you can pretty much count on the other not being far behind.

They play together. Hang together. Look for each other.

They genuinely love each other.

And we'd really love for their story not to end with them having to say goodbye.

So we're looking for something pretty special:

One family. Two dogs. Together.

And to help make that happen, we're offering a reduced adoption fee for the family who adopts Rebecca and Sims together.

Because sometimes you go looking for one dog…

Come meet Eddy, Sebastian, Bella, and Irving at our PetSmart adoption event — Saturday, October 10, 11:30 AM–3:00 PM, inside PetSmart at 1759 Apalachee Pkwy, Tallahassee. Find the pups all the way at the back on the left (rain or shine!), and our kitties up front on the left behind the cash registers.

Meet Okra.
Some dogs dream about endless games of fetch.
Okra's dream is much simpler.
She’s looking for her person.
She wants to be where you are.
Whether you're making coffee, folding laundry, binge-watching your favorite show, or just enjoying a quiet evening, Okra is happiest when she's with her people.
She's incredibly affectionate and loves being part of the family. Home is her favorite place, and being inside with the people she loves is exactly where she wants to be.
After everything she's been through, Okra isn't asking for much.
Just consistency.
A soft place to land.
And someone who won't let her wonder where she belongs ever again.
she is currently thriving in foster care, but what she really deserves is a forever family. Okra needs a home without cats.

Just a friendly reminder from Sebastian and those ridiculous ears 😂🐾

No PetSmart adoption event this Saturday — it’s the first Saturday of the month.

BUT Sebastian is still very much looking for a foster or adopter, so you don’t have to wait until next Saturday to ask about him.

He’s about 6 months old, potty trained, crate trained and good with dogs, cats and yep…even chickens. 😂

Honestly, this boy has done his part. Now we just need somebody to see him and say come on, you’re coming home with me.
