Tis the season and it’s time for Rattler football, and we are proud to see our alumni and friends, and our licensed vendors supporting Florida A&M University (FAMU) with unique and creative merchandise.
At the same time, we want to remind everyone that the University’s name, trademarks, logos, symbols, and other intellectual property are protected. Any person or business producing, promoting, or selling merchandise that uses Florida A&M University’s name, logos, trademarks, or other intellectual property without the proper license/approval must cease and desist immediately.
If you are not an authorized/licensed vendor, we request that you immediately remove all unauthorized references, images, logos, and other University intellectual property from your social media accounts, websites, promotional materials, print publications, product offerings, and product lines, as well as from any other media or locations on or around campus.
Failure to comply may result in the University pursuing appropriate legal action without further notice. The University may also refer suspected unauthorized use to appropriate enforcement and regulatory authorities where warranted, particularly where such use may mislead the public into believing that a product, business, or vendor is affiliated with or endorsed by Florida A&M University.
Unauthorized use of University intellectual property may constitute an unfair or deceptive trade practice and, depending on the circumstances and applicable law, may subject violators to additional civil or criminal penalties.
We appreciate everyone who supports Rattler Nation and encourage vendors who wish to sell FAMU-branded merchandise to work through the University’s official licensing process. Our goal is to protect the integrity of the Florida A&M University brand while continuing to support the creativity and entrepreneurship of our licensed vendors.
