Progress for the Social Work Compact in Florida!

βœ… The Social Work Compact amendment was successfully added to HB 693 with no concerns from any committee member. The bill now heads to a full House floor vote.

βœ… The standalone Compact bill, HB 13, passed unanimously on the House floor β€” 115 yeas, 0 nays. Another clear sign of bipartisan support for social workers in Florida.

We especially thank State Representative Christine Hunschofsky for her leadership, persistence, and powerful statement on the House floor, uplifting our profession. Representative Hunschofsky is a true ally to our profession.

This is not the finish line β€” but the momentum is real.
