We rescue physically or psychologically abused, neglected, troubled or abandoned equines in North Florida and South Georgia. We accept all types of horses.

Triple R is an all-volunteer organization. We work with law enforcement and animal control officers in a six-county area around Tallahassee, in Florida's Panhandle. (If a stallion needs help we will find somewhere to house him where he can be gelded and then transferred to one of our growing network of foster homes).

In the rescue world, "Mother" is a verb. It’s the late-night wellness checks, the gentle training of a horse learning to trust again, and the unconditional love that helps a soul to heal.

We are sending out a massive THANK YOU to our friends at the Heart of the Community of the Moose Lodge for their incredible Kentucky Derby-themed fundraiser! 🌹🏇

It was a day filled with fun, hats, and community spirit, all resulting in nearly $1,000 raised for the residents at Triple R Horse Rescue!

We appreciate the entire Lodge for hosting such a wonderful event and choosing us as your beneficiary!

We have some racing news to share about a member of our extended family!

Check out Triple R’s Easy Runner (now known as Asher)! Asher was lovingly fostered by Sandra Geary before finding his forever home with Crystal Parker.

But did you know Asher has some serious "Royal" bloodlines? He and the racing world’s current star, So Happy, are half-brothers! They share the same sire, the legendary Run Happy.

The family talent is real. So Happy took home the win at Santa Anita this past January and is officially headed to Churchill Downs to Race for the Roses in the Kentucky Derby this Saturday!

We are so proud of Asher and will be cheering extra loud for his brother this weekend! Good luck to So Happy! 🌹🐎

We have some exciting news to share about our Nocona!

After battling a persistent issue and completing three full rounds of antibiotics, we finally have the answer we were looking for.

During surgery, Dr. Golden successfully located and removed a bone fragment that had been the source of Nocona’s discomfort.

Recovery post-surgery is all about the love and patience that follows. A massive thank you to her amazing foster, Lisa Phillips, who has been right by her side.

We are thrilled to welcome two beautiful Paso Fino mares, Tango and Luna, to the Triple R family! 🌙✨

These ladies are survivors of one of the largest horse seizures in Florida history (69 Paso Finos total) as recently reported by WCTV.

Meet Buck, a Paso Fino from Ocala, FL. After years without human socialization, he is understandably territorial and faces a long road to recovery. His forehooves are severely overgrown and misshapen; he’ll likely require sedation just for his first farrier visit.

The bright spot? Minnie the mule. At 28 years young, this kid-loving lady is providing the calm companionship Buck needs to finally find some peace at Rainbow’s Edge Rescue.

In Loving Memory: Cannon (1993–2026)

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of a legendary member of the Triple R Horse Rescue family. For those who have been with us for a while, the name Cannon carries a special kind of weight... a reminder of why we do what we do.

When Cannon came to us in 2015, he was already a seasoned 22-year-old gelding facing a daunting challenge. He had a severe leg injury after a traumatic entanglement in barbed wire. It was a recovery that required patience and heart, but Cannon proved from day one that he was a fighter.

For nearly the entire eleven years he was part of our rescue, Cannon lived with the same devoted foster family, the Stauffers. He became famous for his "welcoming committee" duties, often surprising house guests by hanging out right at the back door, waiting for attention or a well-deserved snack.

Cannon was a constant source of joy, proving that even after injury and age, there is so much life and personality to be shared.

While our pastures feel a little emptier without him, his spirit remains a permanent part of the our story. We are eternally grateful to his foster family for providing him with a decade of the absolute best care and to our community for supporting his journey from the very start.

Rest easy, sweet boy. You’ve earned your place in the greenest of pastures.
