With back-to-school season here, one thing is clear: kids succeed in the classroom at
much higher rates when they’re receiving proper nutrition. But it can be hard for

What a wonderful day we had today! These amazing kids and their parents came to be part of our very first "Seeds of Change" Volunteer Program and we are incredibly grateful!
It is our hope that they know that every little thing that they do matters a lot! Hence, the name of our program. Little seeds of love and service produce great fruit!

Today they helped us out by making snack bags for our displaced neighbors, care packages that we will distribute to different nursing homes, and finally they wrote letters of encouragement to our military personnel and helped with our food pantry.

May God bless their efforts! It doesn't go unnoticed that they decided to wake up early on a Saturday morning to make a difference in our community!

Our next meeting will be Saturday September 26th from 10 am to 1 pm. To keep these kiddos engaged we are planning on doing different things every month so don't miss it!

We would like to thank Peter Boulware Toyota, Peter Boulware Lexus, and TLMODA for the backpack distribution here at The Salvation Army of Tallahassee last Saturday. It was great to serve the children in the community with a backpack full of supplies to get them started for the upcoming school year.

During Sunday Funday this morning, we got to discuss Psalm 23. 🐑🌱
Psalm 23 is one of the most familiar passages in Scripture, yet its words continue to meet people in deeply personal ways throughout every stage of life. Children hear comfort in the image of a shepherd caring for the sheep. Adults often hear reassurance in the promise that God remains present even in the "darkest valley." Those who are weary may notice the invitation to rest beside still waters. Those carrying grief or uncertainty may cling to the words, "I will fear no evil, for you are with me."
What a powerful reminder today that we are never alone.

After the lesson, we had a great time of fellowship and used Psalm 23 as inspiration to create our own canvas with images and symbols that stood up the most to each of us.
