The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Leon County today, Thursday, July 31, from noon to 7 p.m. While the County is under increased risks of heat illness, all Leon County library locations will operate as relief centers today during their regularly scheduled hours. For a list of locations and hours, visit LeonCountyLibrary.org.

As relief centers, County library locations offer air conditioning, seating, water and restroom access, as well as the usual library activities and materials. While everyone is at risk from the dangers of extreme heat, some groups are more vulnerable to heat-related illnesses.
