Another beautiful day! The tour is going on again today from 10:00-4:00. Art on the lawn at Heritage Hall is 10:00 to 4:00. Vendors inside the Library 9:00-12:00. And don’t forget the block party with lots of activities for kids and a number of food trucks 2:00 to 5:00. Ya’ll come see us!

Pheasant Cove is delighted to be part of the prestigious Talladega Tour of Homes this weekend, showcasing exquisite decorations by three of the region's finest florists. A venue walkthrough will take place on Saturday from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and future brides and engaged couples interested in the venue are invited. You can RSVP by sending us a message. It is looking like the weather is going to be good next weekend for April in Talladega!Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce, the Visitor Center on the Square, Ritz Theatre, or Heritage Hall. They can also be purchased at www.aprilintalladega.org. Tickets for the luncheon on Friday must be purchased in person at one of the aforementioned locations. 😊🌸🌷

In conjunction with the April in Talladega Pilgrimage tour, the ladies of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church are hosting a luncheon on Friday, April 10th. Plates will come “boxed” and will include: Chicken salad on a bed of lettuce, date nut bread finger sandwiches, pasta salad, celery stuffed with pimento cheese, individual pound cakes with pecan praline sauce. Tickets are $15.00 and can be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce, Heritage Hall, Ritz Theatre, or the Talladega Visitor Center on the Square. Participants may eat lunch at the Church, or take it to Pheasant Cove(which is on the tour) and eat at a table overlooking the beautiful Creek. If a business would like to order 5 or more plates, they will deliver.

Talladega College President’s home was completed in 1884 and sits on the beautiful oak-lined campus. In June, 1951, the home hosted inventor Lee de Forest, known as the “Father of Radio” during his visit to deliver the commencement address and receive an honorary degree. It has housed every President from the 19th century missionary founders to the modern leaders of the 21st century. 

This historic, beautiful home and much more will be on the Pilgrimage Tour on April 10 and 11. Tickets may be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce, Ritz Theatre, Visitor Center, or Heritage Hall, as well as www.aprilintalladega.org
