Worked hard this weekend getting the rest of the ramps set up! We installed some temporary skatepark features to hold us over til we get all the funding needed for our official skatepark build! Had some fun skating around a bit on these after we got things in place 😁 …kick turn vids to come 😂

We are officially a 2026 grantee!

We’re eager to begin our quick-action project funded by and AARP.

Through this grant we will be able to provide benches, tables, proper signage, and sheltered gathering spaces. We have benches and tables already on their way from Pat Sims ! 😁.

Let’s keep up the momentum!!! 🥳

We have some exciting news! 🎉

We are incredibly honored and grateful to receive the AARP Community Challenge Grant of $11,000!

This generous support will help us continue building a welcoming, accessible skatepark where people of all ages can stay active, connect with one another, and enjoy our community. Whether it’s kids learning their first tricks, families spending time together, or adults staying engaged and active, this investment will make a lasting impact.

A huge thank you to AARP for believing in our vision and supporting projects that bring communities together. We can’t wait to put these funds to work and share the improvements with all of you!

Thank you to everyone who has supported our skatepark along the way. This is another big step forward, and we’re excited for what’s ahead! 🛹❤️

Community Yard Sale for the Talkeetna Skatepark!

Doing a little summer clean-out? Got gear, clothes, tools, household items, random treasures, or anything else you’re ready to pass along?

Donate your items to the Community Yard Sale at Talkeetna Gear Shop and help support the Talkeetna Skatepark — 100% of sales from donated items go directly to the skatepark project.

You can drop off donations tomorrow at Talkeetna Gear Shop, open 10am–6pm.

Then come shop the sale on Saturday, June 27 from 11am–4pm and help turn donated items into skatepark funds.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!! We got the park cleaned up with our amazing crew coming to help out! It’s now set up to move forward with some temporary park features for the summer 2026! Huge thank you to all that showed up this weekend and took the time to help out with preparations! Can’t wait to skate this summer, can you?!
