🛹 SKATE DAY TALKEETNA 2026 🛹

We’re excited to bring the community together for a day of riding, fun, food, and good vibes at the Wildwoods Skatepark!

Thanks to the incredible donations and support from our community and beyond, we’ve been able to purchase temporary ramps from Fresh Park that we have now set up in the lot to hold us over until we can start the Phase 1 build.

We will have some boards and safety gear provided by Blue & Gold Boardshop that will be apart of our loaner library thanks to The Bachelor Society and will be available from then on to check out at no cost at the Talkeetna Gear Shop!

*We plan to hold the event on Saturday, August 15th, weather permitting, and our back up date will be the next weekend Saturday, August 22nd. So stay posted!*

Can’t wait to see you all there!

We are officially a 2026 grantee!

We’re eager to begin our quick-action project funded by and AARP.

Through this grant we will be able to provide benches, tables, proper signage, and sheltered gathering spaces. We have benches and tables already on their way from Pat Sims ! 😁.

Let’s keep up the momentum!!! 🥳

We have some exciting news! 🎉

We are incredibly honored and grateful to receive the AARP Community Challenge Grant of $11,000!

This generous support will help us continue building a welcoming, accessible skatepark where people of all ages can stay active, connect with one another, and enjoy our community. Whether it’s kids learning their first tricks, families spending time together, or adults staying engaged and active, this investment will make a lasting impact.

A huge thank you to AARP for believing in our vision and supporting projects that bring communities together. We can’t wait to put these funds to work and share the improvements with all of you!

Thank you to everyone who has supported our skatepark along the way. This is another big step forward, and we’re excited for what’s ahead! 🛹❤️
