July was a full and rewarding month at Liberty Christian Academy, filled with the blessing of so many people coming alongside us to serve.

From cake baking classes to working on the school library, these teams brought their talents to serve our community in meaningful and lasting ways.

✨ Gatsby Gala for Guatemala 2026 ✨

On behalf of CEIBA VIDA & Liberty Christian Academy, we want to say a HUGE thank you to every person who came out to our Gatsby Gala for Guatemala last night in New Albany, Indiana! What a night! 💃

There was so much fun, laughter, dancing, and celebration—and most importantly, incredible support was raised to help Liberty Christian Academy continue to grow and flourish in Guatemala. Every ticket purchased, donation made, and hour volunteered helps us continue providing vulnerable girls with Christian education, nutritious meals, counseling, and a brighter future.

We have so many people to thank:

Last night was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when people come together with a shared purpose. We are so grateful for each and every one of you who helped make this night possible and who continues to stand behind the girls of Liberty Christian Academy.

Earlier this week, Molly Martinez, Jill Warner, and an incredible team of volunteers hauled an entire plane load of donations to the Louisville Air National Guard—all headed to Liberty Christian Academy in Guatemala! 🇬🇹✈️

These donations will make their way to Guatemala through the Denton Program, a U.S. Department of Defense initiative that transports humanitarian cargo donated by U.S. nonprofit organizations to communities in need around the world.

This year’s shipment includes:

✅ School supplies
✅ New plates, cups, silverware, and cookware for our nutrition program
✅ Bakeware
✅ Clothing and shoes
✅ Toys for a Christmas activity in the village we serve
✅ And so much more!

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helps make this annual shipment possible—from those who graciously store donations in their garages, basements, and barns, to those who purchase items from our Amazon Wishlist, to the generous individuals and nonprofits in the New Albany community who donate throughout the year.

And a special thank you to the United States Air Force and the Denton Program for providing transportation to Guatemala. 🌟

So many hands come together to make this possible. It truly takes a village, and we are so thankful for ours! ❤️

Did you know there are 22 Mayan languages still actively spoken by more than 6 million people in Guatemala?

For many Maya, Spanish is their second language.

At Liberty Christian Academy, we honor that heritage. Kaqchikel is the Mayan language spoken in our region, so while classes are taught in Spanish, Kaqchikel is also part of the curriculum to help preserve the language and culture for future generations.

🌟 INTERN SPOTLIGHT 🌟

This year, we had the joy of welcoming Lauren Boehnlein to the CEIBA VIDA team as a remote stateside intern. Since joining us at the beginning of the year, she has been a tremendous blessing to our ministry.

Lauren brought so many fresh ideas that helped us better share the work God is doing in Guatemala with our supporters. Transparency is a core value of our ministry because it allows supporters to see firsthand what they’re praying for and investing in, and it allows the testimony of the work to bless others.

Thank you, Lauren, for choosing CEIBA VIDA for your internship this year and contributing to the ministry God has called us to do! 💗
