Car Seat Check-Up Event happening TOMORROW - Friday, June 19.

Not sure if your child's car seat is installed properly? Have questions on what type of seat is appropriate? Come down and see us! We'll be set-up with CHP - Buttonwillow in the front parking lot of the Community Center at Cascade Place and Kern Streets in Taft (across from Jack in the Box).

Mañana, viernes 19 de junio, se llevará a cabo un evento de revisión de asientos de seguridad para niños.

¿No está seguro de si el asiento de seguridad de su hijo está instalado correctamente? ¿Tiene preguntas sobre qué tipo de asiento es el adecuado? ¡Venga a visitarnos! Estaremos ubicados —en colaboración con la CHP - Buttonwillow — en el estacionamiento delantero del Community Center, en la intersección de las calles Cascade Place y Kern en Taft (frente a Jack in the Box).

Our Preschool program (funded by First 5 Kern, for ages 3-5) is now accepting questionnaires/interest forms for the 2026/2027 school year.

If you may be interested in your child enrolling, please complete the questionnaire at the link below. (If you do not have a current MyRec account with West Side Recreation & Park District, you will need to create one prior to completing the form.)

We will go over all submitted questionnaires to determine eligibility for our program. Space is limited. Completed forms must be submitted no later than July 30, 2026.

Community Connection for Child Care is inviting you to dive into summer fun with them at their Under the Sea Summer Storytime at CALM Zoo!
