Washington SAR Session
Spinning Up an E-Bike Team
Hosted by SARVAC
Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026 - 7pm Pacific Time
One Hour – Via Zoom
E-Bikes are the latest rage on the paved trails, and everyplace else. Do E-Bikes have a role on your SAR Team?
In favorable terrain responders on E-Bikes can get to your subjects much faster than responders on foot. They can quickly stabilize a patient for subsequent extraction by traditional means.
This month’s Washington SAR Session will feature members of Pierce County 4X4 Unit who’ve spent 18 months noodling out how to integrate E-Bikes into mission planning.
They’ll cover-
• How bikes are used on
o Missions
o Trainings
o Fund-raising events.
• Maintenance and battery considerations
• Grants and other ways to fund your bikes.
We’re saving lots of time for questions, so please feel free to un-mute and speak up.
Sign-up is at the following link. Because we are getting this out so late, registration will close 24 hours prior to the class. At that time a Zoom link will be distributed to registrants.
