El sábado fuimos parte de una protesta por La Paz, con Tacoma Refugee Choir fue un evento extraordinario es bonito y esencial para nuestras bailarinas que estén expuestas a ser parte de estas causas y compartir con comunidades diversas, donde todos estamos unidos por una misma causa, en estos tiempos que nuestras comunidades inmigrantes sufren tanta angustia el estar en uno de estos eventos y escuchar los discursos de tanra gente talentosa, te da un poco de paz. Gracias por la oportunidad!

Last Saturday we were part of a Rally for peace, it was an extraordinary event. It’s important for our dancers to be exposed to this kinds of events, where they connect with communities full of diversity. They learned how powerful we can be when we are united no matter the race. In a moment where all of immigrant communities are in fear, it’s amazing to be at an event like this and listen to many talented speakers because you find a little bit of peace and Hope. Thank you Tacoma Refugee Choir for making us part of this amazing event!

As we get ready to perform for our Lady of Guadalupe, we talked about the miraculous apparition of the Virgin Mary to Juan Diego, an indigenous peasant, on a hill in Mexico City. The event is a major religious and cultural observance for Catholics throughout the Americas, and the kids were thrilled to learned about it, and are very exited to perform for her.

Mientras nos preparamos para bailarle a la Virgen de Guadalupe, hablamos con los niños sobre so milagrosa aparición ante Juan Diego y aprendimos que este evento es uno de los mas grandes a nivel religioso y cultural. Los niños disfrutaron mucho aprender sobre este evento y están más que emocionados para bailar ante la Guadalupana❤️
