Kitty Haven, Tacoma WA, Orphan kitten rescue Kitty Haven is a nonprofit organization. Our goal is to provide foster care to orphaned and/or abandoned kittens. We advocate spay/neuter of all our kitties.

We promote adoption of our kittens when they are weaned and healthy to lifelong loving homes.

In 2001 we established Kitty Haven, a non-profit kitten rescue organization that takes in orphaned/abandoned kittens and adopts them to lifelong homes when they are old enough and healthy. During all these years we have helped over 2000 kittens.

Sadly we must now close our rescue. Ever since the beginning we have received excellent support from the veterinary hospital that we use. However, with rising medical costs all throughout the veterinary field and many of the kittens we take in being ill or injured we cannot afford the costs we would be incurring.

This was a heart breaking decision and is devastating to all of us who volunteer at Kitty Haven. To our supporters and donators, we thank you immensely for believing in us and for helping us these many years.

We are keeping our FB page up and running because we have two kittens that need new homes and we want to stay in touch with our recent and past adopters.

UPDATE: Star and Angel have been adopted together. YAY!

Looking for a new home, no adoption fee. This is Star and Angel, born 9/6/16 and adopted from us 4\10\17. Their adopter gave them a wonderful loving home until last month.

Unfortunately their human passed away and her sons, unable to bring Star and Angel into their homes, have been visiting their mother's home every day to feed them, clean their litterbox and spend some time with them. They promised their mother that Star and Angel would not go to the Humane Society. Our one and only foster home is on quarantine and we sadly cannot take them in.

The son Jeff says Angel comes for loving when he visits while Star goes into hiding but said both were lap cats with his mom. Star liked to sleep under the covers next to mom pushing Angel out of the way.

They are indoor only kitties and must stay indoor only because their owner had them declawed. They have a score of 10 on their litter box use, no bouts of not using the box. Jeff said he is not aware of current vaccinations and said they are healthy and have had no medical issues or problems. Their diet is Fancy Feast in the evening and free fed Purina dry food.

Star and Angel have always been with each other, are very bonded and need to be adopted together.
