Excited to share that Empowering People in Communities (EPIC) and Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department’s (TPCHD) Health Equity Program will partner to support the health equity strategic initiative. EPIC will provide support to Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) owned businesses that meets unmet needs for business owners in Tacoma. Our work supports economic justice and celebrates and supports cultural diversity in Pierce County—all of which we know are foundations for health equity. This collaboration will also support relationship building between our organizations so we can continue to navigate avenues of ongoing support for BIPOC owned businesses in Pierce County.
