The Taberg Volunteer Fire Company would like to extend our sincere condolences to the Sylvan Beach Fire Department on the loss of 3rd Assistant Chief Ryan Voorhies. Please keep the members of their department and his family members, especially his Wife and Sons, in your thoughts as they work though this terrible tragedy.

It is with heavy hearts and extreme difficulty that we pass along the tragic and untimely death of 3rd Assistant Fire Chief Ryan Voorhies. Ryan was fatally injured in a UTV accident last night in Lewis County. Please keep Ryan's wife Katie, son Gabe, son Logan and his entire family in your thoughts. Services will be posted when available.

Saturday Evening the Taberg Volunteer Fire Company attended the Town of Lee 250th Birthday of America Celebration held by the Lee Center Volunteer Fire Dept. It was a great parade and we are so happy to have been a part of it! We even brought out our 1923 Model T Fire Engine! We had 5 Members Marching and 4 Members (plus one jr. member) riding in the trucks. Thank you again for the invite!

**ROUTE 69 HAS REOPENED**

Route 69 Between Taberg Rd. (Taberg-Florence
rd. Ext.) And Bones Rd. for an Unknown amount of time.

Update:

State Route 69 in the Town of Annsville has now been opened back up.

According to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol, the Sheriff's Office is currently on Route 69 in the Town of Annsville investigating a single vehicle motor vehicle accident. Route 69 will be closed from Taberg Road to Bones Road, please avoid the area if possible. Further information will be released at a later time.

The Taberg Volunteer Fire Company will be having a Chicken Barbecue in conjunction with the Taberg Trail Blazers Antique Snow Show tomorrow August 8th, chickens should be ready about 11-1130am. please come out and support both organizations!

Yesterday the Taberg Volunteer Fire Company Marched both North Bay Fire Department Old Home Days and Constableville Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. 100 Percent Volunteer Field Days parades, we came home with a 2nd Best Appearing company without music and most men in line from Constableville! Thank you to both departments for having us!
