The CCAA (Climate Change Awareness & Action) was formed for the purpose of educating others and actively working towards reversing the anthropogenic climate change that threatens the earth.

Join in with special guests Bill McKibben and Mark Ruffalo for this virtual launch of Deadline Hochul: the mass mobilization of thousands to march in Albany just before Earth Day on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

Utility bills are unaffordable. Good clean energy jobs are disappearing. Air pollution kills thousands of New Yorkers each year and elders and children are forced to stay inside.

Yet, Hochul ignores our laws by approving the Williams NESE pipeline, delaying the end to oil and gas in new buildings, permitting fracked gas power plants like Greenidge bitcoin, stopping the cap & invest program, cutting clean energy programs like NY-Sun and Empower Plus, and disregarding the state’s climate pollution reduction law.

It’s Deadline Hochul.

A new investigative report by Little Sis, Strong Economy for All, and NY Renews reveals how fossil fuel corporations and utilities have poured nearly $16 million into lobbying since 2021 — working with top NY lobbying firms with deep connections to the Hochul Administration.

Seventeen major polluters have increased their lobbying $$ since Hochul came into office, ensuring favorable policies that keep their profits high while New Yorkers struggle to pay their energy bills.

As fossil fuel lobbying soared, New York fell behind on the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act, stalled its cap-and-invest program, and even approved new fossil fuel projects that will raise bills for working families.
