Elizabeth, where are you serving this year and in these first few months, what have you been doing to serve those in need?
“This year, I am serving as a caregiver at Francis House where I have the opportunity to provide compassionate, individualized care to residents and their families. In these first few months, I have assisted residents with their activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, oral and skin care, meals, and supporting their mobility through physical transfers. I keep thorough records of care and observations to help support the larger Francis House care team and ensure that each resident’s needs are being thoughtfully met. Alongside these daily tasks, I offer companionship and a comforting presence. I’ve had the privilege of listening to stories, holding a hand, exchanging laughs, and simply sitting quietly with residents when they need it most.” -Elizabeth
