🌹 WHILE SHE YET LIVES: A FOUNDER’S SPOTLIGHT 🌹
Today, we pause with intention to honor a woman whose life continues to speak, build, and bless generations.
MRS. EARNESTINE CRUMPLER GARRETT
Before there was an organization… before there was a movement… there was a moment.
At just 7 years old, she began speaking over her life—simple, innocent words that reflected hope and belief in her future. What sounded like childhood imagination was actually the beginning of something God would shape into destiny.
Born to the late King David Crumpler, Sr. and Edna Lucille Wilson Crumpler, and raised in New Hope Baptist Church, she carried that vision into adulthood.
In 1981, while working at the telephone company, she began reconnecting families and former classmates connected to East Highland Schools (1945–1970).
What started as simple phone calls became a divine assignment.
And from that obedience, East Highland Schools National Alumni Association (EHSNAA) was born.
Her book, “Just Keep Living,” shares in greater detail how that vision unfolded—telling the story of how EHSNAA was founded, and the heart, obedience, and connections that brought it to life.
She also founded Phenomenal Women, continuing her legacy of empowerment, encouragement, and uplift across generations.
Today, her impact is undeniable and her legacy is still growing.
So today, we don’t wait for legacy to pass before we honor it.
We celebrate her while she is still here to receive it. 🌹
Because Mrs. Earnestine Crumpler Garrett is not just part of history…
She is living proof that when God breathes on a life, it becomes a lifetime of impact.
