SEDCO Objectives
• To help organize, direct, and coordinate the economic revitalization and redevelopment of the Borough of Swissvale.
• To foster, promote, and implement a long range program to insure the economic revitalization and stability of the area.
• To establish and maintain channels of communication with public officials, neighborhood and civic group leaders, business and professional pe
ople of the area to foster, stimulate, and promote ideas for the economic redevelopment and/or revitalization of the area.
• To advance, encourage, and promote the commercial, business, industrial, residential, historic preservation, and economic development of Swissvale in whatever way and by such means as shall improve the named growth, development, and quality of life of the area.
• To assist the Borough of Swissvale in securing grants from public and private sources to promote the economic development of the area and to similarly assist other neighboring boroughs and officials where appropriate.
• To submit, individually or jointly with the Mon Valley Initiative (MVI) and other MVI member Community Development Corporations, applications for funding to applicable state and federal funding programs for the purpose of community development in the Borough of Swissvale.
