Ollie is a Portuguese Podengo. He may be a pint sized dog at roughly 30 lbs, but he has a large personality. Ollie would thrive in a moderately active yet quiet home environment where he can get lots of walks and playtime as well as plenty of time to relax and take naps. Ollie can be a little shy around new people and environments but tends to adjust well given time. Due to Ollie's past experiences he has a very hard time trusting men and would do best in a female-only home or with an experienced adopter that can work with his fears help him find confidence. Ollie does ok with other dogs but can be overwhelming to some. He is very playful that loves doing zoomies with his favorite toys and splashing around in a kiddie pool. He is also one of the biggest cuddle bugs and loves getting pet and taking naps. Ollie is really the best of both worlds if given some time and patience, he is sure to win your heart.

Quinoa is a lovely female greyhound with a shiny black coat. She is friendly, sweet girl with secret spunky side. When meeting and interacting with people she is very calm and gentle and loves getting affection. She plays well with other greyhounds but could use further socialization with other breeds. Quinoa enjoys her daily walks to sniff the grass and enjoy the sun on her fur. Though she is normally a very calm and independent girl she also loves to play with toys and get zoomies when she’s particularly excited. Overall, this lovely greyhound would do best in a moderately active home with or without another dog.

Our next Yard Sale & Bake Sale fundraiser is two weeks from today! That means you still have time to clean out your closets and bring us all your gently-used treasures to sell and raise money for the dogs. And make sure you mark your calendars and attend the sale — there will be something for everyone, plus our famous bake sale table and hot lunch for sale. Since all the items and baked goods are donated, every penny earned goes right to the care of the adoptable dogs.

WHEN: Saturday, June 13, 8:00am to 2:00pm

Bojack is a retired racing greyhound from Australia with a shiny brindle coat and some adorable ears that can never decide which way to point. He has a friendly, outgoing, and curious personality. Bojack has good leash manners and loves going on walks. He be a bit weary around new things such as loud trucks and stairs but with a little investigation and encouragement from his handler he quickly gains confidence around such things. Bojack does well with other medium to large dogs and has a blast playing with his friends. Overall, he is a wonderful dog that would thrive in a moderately active home.

Meet sweet Dexter ❤️ He is an amazing co-pilot, and enjoys car rides. This Irish lurcher is just the sweetest boy who loves people. He is also full of youthful energy and would be great for a family that likes to run and play in the yard. He has found a love for squeaky toys. He would make anyone a great best friend to have by your side. Dexter plays well with some dogs but his play style can be a bit much for some. Dexter would do best in a home with an experienced pet parent and a moderate to highly active family. He would probably not do well as an apartment dog.

Life is more fun with Mya! Mya's personality could be described as friendly, affectionate, enthusiastic—and silly!. She has good leash manners and enjoys going on her daily walks. She could go to a home with another large dog but may require a slow introduction as she can come on a bit strong when meeting new dog friends. Mya quickly forms bonds with people and adores getting attention above all else. Her energetic and quite playful demeanor makes her perfect for an active home where she can all the attention and activity she needs.
