Thanks to the relentless effort of volunteers and supporters, families who once faced total loss are now beginning to rebuild. To every hand that helped carry this mission forward, we thank you.

In the earliest days of Savage Freedoms Relief Operations, there were a handful of people who made all the difference and Christian Miller was one of them.

He was the bridge that helped us communicate with emergency management, coordinate with agencies, and ultimately save lives during some of our most critical deployments. His selfless service behind the scenes allowed us to be as effective as we were on the ground.

Now, Christian needs our support.

He recently suffered a stroke and seizure and is out of work for the next six months. He is a devoted paramedic and loving father of 10 children. This unexpected medical crisis has placed an enormous strain on his family.

If you’ve ever wondered where to give outside of disaster relief, this is it.

It's now officially hurricane season and our team at Savage Freedoms Relief Operations will be on standby to help those in need this year. Hurricane Helene feels just like yesterday and here we are again entering this season of weather. Stay tuned over the next few weeks for more information on how you can our join our team of rescue, relief, and rebuild volunteers across the country.

We’re Not Going Anywhere — We’re Building Something Bigger

Over the past eight months, Savage Freedoms Relief Operations has stood in the gap, along with many others, thanks to the grit of our volunteers and the generosity of our donors. You’ve helped us respond where others couldn’t or wouldn’t. Because of you, lives were saved, families restored, and hope delivered when it was needed most.

Today, we want to make something clear:
We’re not packing up—we’re leveling up.

Savage Freedoms Relief Operations is moving into a more permanent home. We want to give a huge thanks to Appalachian Tool and Machine and especially Eddie Frizsell for allowing us this space to continue operating while we worked to secure a more permanent solution.

To every volunteer who gave your time, every donor who gave your resources, and every supporter who believed in this mission—we are here because of you.

This move marks the next chapter, and we’re just getting started.

Every day, we remember. But today, the nation is called to remember with us.

Memorial Day is more than a date on the calendar. It’s a solemn reminder of the true cost of freedom.

Freedom has never come without sacrifice. It’s been paid for with blood, with lives cut short, and with the weight carried by those left behind.

We’ve stood beside heroes who never returned. Their names are etched in our hearts, their legacy forever part of who we are.

We don’t forget. We don’t take this lightly. We remember with pride, with pain, and with unwavering respect.

To those who gave everything: We honor you. We miss you. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

On April 5th, the Savage Freedoms Relief Operations team had the honor of volunteering at the Rural Revival Project event in Spruce Pine, NC, assisting with access control to help ensure a smooth, safe experience for all in attendance.

The Rural Revival Project is tackling one of the most overlooked challenges in America today: the widening economic and cultural gap that’s left rural communities behind. Their mission is to use music as a platform to strengthen local communities, foster economic development, and rebuild the connective tissue between rural America and the rest of the nation.

We’re proud to support that mission and even prouder that our very own Justin Neal serves on the board of RRP, helping to lead this charge from the front.

We’re especially grateful for the opportunity given to SFRO Founder, Adam Smith, and RRP Board Member and early volunteer to Savage Ops, Justin Neal, to speak on the Truth Talks panel and share the story of our unconventional, community-first response to Hurricane Helene. It was an honor to represent the Savage Ops mission and spark conversation around grassroots disaster relief.

Huge thanks to Oliver Anthony Music for lending his voice and heart to this mission your commitment to these rural communities doesn’t go unnoticed.

And last but not least, thank you to our incredible crew of volunteers and the thousands of attendees who showed up to bring a day of music, community, and purpose to life in the heart of Appalachia.

The missions of Rural Revival Project and Savage Freedoms Relief Operations go hand in hand: helping forgotten people in forgotten places.

Next stop: Inez, KY. We’re fired up and ready to roll!

We’ve seen it over and over again since we began this adventure. People coming together to help recovery and rebuild.
We’ve been on the ground in Kentucky working hand in hand with local residents to clean and much out the homes affected by these epic floods.

SFRO has been in the ground in Kentucky before the waters receded.
Now that the water is starting to go down the team is able to begin the arduous process of assessing damage and assisting those who need access to their homes, and aid in recovering whatever they can.

The team has already been able to get supplies on the ground with more on the way.

Our promise was that we would never leave the people of Western North Carolina. Although our resources diminished the further we moved from Hurricane Helene, our effort to impact this region and change the conversation on disaster response has been made possible by the people who answered the call to serve.
