In the and across this country, we need more research, earlier diagnoses, and real support for patients — especially those too often overlooked by our health care system.

I have battled excruciating endometriosis pain since I was 14 years old. As one of the 1 in 10 women living with endometriosis, I know the pain it brings and the challenges we face when it comes to diagnosis and access to treatment.

That’s why I’m calling on Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the Department of Health and Human Services to take action on endometriosis diagnosis, care, and coverage.

When we think of Dolly Parton, we think of her incredible voice, her big heart, and her amazing charity work. But did you know she is also an endometriosis warrior?

In her 30s, Dolly faced severe pain and internal bleeding from endometriosis. It eventually led to a partial hysterectomy. While it was a painful chapter that changed her life.

Dolly suffered from severe abdominal pain and hemorrhaging caused by severe endometriosis. Dolly has been open about the physical and emotional toll it took, including the heartbreak of not being able to have biological children.

Dolly turned her pain into purpose.
She channeled her incredible nurturing spirit into helping millions of children through her Imagination Library.

Dolly's story reminds us why organizations like Terica Cares fight so hard for health awareness. Endometriosis is not "just a bad period." It is a serious condition that deserves real research, early diagnosis, and deep compassion.

Happy Juneteenth ❤️🤍💙

Today we honor freedom, resilience, and the strength of our ancestors. I can only imagine what our ancestors endured — not only the pain of slavery, but also the silent suffering of women who may have battled conditions like endometriosis, chronic pain, and mental health struggles with no doctors who understood, no proper pain medication, no diagnosis, and no safe space to speak about what they were feeling.

As we celebrate Juneteenth, Terica Cares also remembers the women and girls whose pain went unseen and unheard. Our mission is to continue breaking the silence through Endometriosis awareness, Mental Health support, Advocacy, and Education.

We honor the past by creating healing, resources, and hope for future generations.
