We didn’t make it to the District Conference this weekend, but we did get to prepare and serve lunch to nearly 300 Special Olympics athletes, coaches and supporters at the Northern California Regional Bocce Ball Tournament at Sam Brannan Park. Very inspirational.

Join us this coming Wednesday, May 6th, for an engaging evening with our Yuba-Sutter Poet Laureate, Marcelo Hernandez Castillo. He is known nationally as a speaker and educator and is a long-time resident of Yuba County. All are welcome!

What a fun and productive morning with Rotary friends helping with Spring cleaning at the Arboga Assembly Center Memorial Site. Such a wonderful turnout for the work party followed by brunch at Duke’s Diner!

Look what our Rotary club has done! Thanks to a grant received by our club from the Feather River Air Quality Management District, we were able to partner with Dan Turner and his welding students at Yuba College to create these sculptural bike racks. We love continuing to add to the Plumas Street creative vibe.

Thanks so much to Janell Schell-Brady for her presentation about her grandparents’ careers in the performing arts from vaudeville to the Metropolitan Opera, as well as her own career in dance. Love our Rotary guest speakers. We meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at Marcello’s Restaurant starting at 5:30. All are welcome.
