I am proud to share that I serve on the Board of Directors for the Milwaukee Tennis & Education Foundation (MTEF), which provides tennis, education, and mentorship opportunities for the youth in the great city of Milwaukee, WI.

I started participating in MTEF events 3 years ago, and officially joined the board in 2022. I'm currently on the Executive Board, serving as Vice President. It allows me the opportunity to give back to the city where I grew up, and to give back to the sport which has provided me so many friends and opportunities. With the growth of pickleball, platform tennis, and padel, the opportunities for racket sports have never been better.

Fortunately, I had access to several local tennis courts growing up, which allowed me to get started with the sport I grew to love so much, but many kids in Milwaukee do not have the same access.

MTEF's goal is to give as many kids in Milwaukee the opportunity to play the game of tennis if interested, to compete, to be athletic, to network, and to develop lifelong friendships and other life skills along the way.

Our Spring fundraising campaign is here. My personal goal is to raise $1,000 for the organization this week and would appreciate any help, no matter how big or small, to help our foundation. Whether you know me personally or love the game of tennis, I really appreciate you considering MTEF for some of your valuable charitable dollars!

Hi everyone,

We have made the very difficult decision to discontinue the Strikes For Hope Charity Bowling Tournament.

I want to thank every bowler, donor and sponsor who supported us over the years. Since 2006, we were able to donate over $223,000 to Cancer Research, primarily to the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center.

Finally, I want to thank all the individuals who help make this event possible. Brian Ellenbecker, John Germano, Lisa Ellenbecker, Laura Monfre Jansen, Danielle Shepstone, Rebecca Ellenbecker, Shellie Sutter, Debbie Chole and so many others...thank you all so much!!! These events truly would not have been possible without each and every one of you.

It is our hope that this is a temporary break, and that we are back in the near future.

Thank you to everyone that came out today for the Strikes For Hope Charity Bowling Tournament! Stay tuned for a final total that we will be donating to the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center in the next few days.

The 11th Annual Strikes for Hope Charity bowling tournament is fast approaching. Last year, we cracked the $200,000 mark, so we're excited to add to that total this year.

It is on Saturday, February 23 at Sussex Bowl. There are shifts available at 12:30 and 3:30 for 4-person teams.

If you are interested in participating, email bowlers first and last names, t-shirt sizes, and time you'd like to bowl to [email protected].

We are very proud to announce that our 2018 Strikes For Hope Charity Bowling Tournament raised $23,727 for cancer research at the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center. The total funds donated now stands at $205,425. Thank you to every sponsor, donor, bowler, organizer, and volunteer of this event over the past 10 years. And a special thank you to Sussex Bowl for hosting us the past 3 years. We could not do this without each and every one of you!
