Sussex County CLEAR Program The Sussex County C.L.E.A.R. Program offers free recovery coaching, improved access to treatment, and family support for people with addiction.

Community Law Enforcement Addiction Recovery

Bridging the gap between addiction and recovery, law enforcement and the recovery community, The Sussex County C.L.E.A.R. Program offers community members seeking help for substance use disorder the opportunity to walk into a participating police department to start their journey to recovery by getting paired with a trained Recovery Coach. Our mission is to form a collaborative network of professionals in our community who will facilitate medical intervention, improved access to treatment and recovery support for those struggling with drug addiction who seek assistance, without fear of arrest or prosecution, in order to make a positive difference in the quality of life for individuals, families and our entire community. The Sussex County CLEAR Program is managed by the Center for Prevention & Counseling, Inc.

Last Saturday our Operation Helping Hand (OHH) team was at Thrift Fest!

Paul from the Sussex County Prosecutor's Office and Andrei from The Center for Prevention & Counseling spent the afternoon connecting with community members and sharing messages of hope and recovery.

Every conversation was an opportunity to remind our community that help is available, and recovery is possible!

We’re grateful to everyone who stopped by our OHH table, whether you came to pick up resources, learn about our programs, or connect with our team. Thank you for helping us strengthen our community!

Join us for a Narcan Training this Friday at The Center for Prevention & Counseling and learn how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose.

Every participant receives a FREE kit including:
• Narcan Nasal Spray
• CPR rescue mask & face shield
• Nitrile gloves

No experience or prior training is necessary, and if you’ve been trained before, you’re still welcome! Participants with previous Narcan training have reported learning new information and gaining additional confidence.

A medication that can save a life should be easy to get. ❤️

September 24 is National Save a Life Day, and there are plenty of ways to pick up FREE naloxone (Narcan) right here in Sussex County.

Naloxone is a medication that can reverse an opioid overdose. It’s safe, easy to use, and something any of us can carry because you never know when you may be in a position to help a friend, family member, neighbor or even a stranger.

This year, free naloxone will be available at participating local pharmacies and community outreach events. And you don’t have to wait for September 24, our harm reduction vending machines provide free access 24/7 at locations throughout Sussex County.

Swipe through to find a location near you, pick up naloxone and keep it on hand. You could save a life.

Recovery is not one-size-fits-all. People recover in different ways, and every pathway that supports health, healing, and wellbeing deserves dignity and respect.
