Today we had the honor of respectfully disassembling, packing and seeing The Wall That Heals off to its next destination...

Today we had the honor of respectfully disassembling, packing and seeing The Wall That Heals off to its next destination. While on display at Mark Coronado Park in Surprise, AZ, from 4/9/2026 - 4/12/2026 14:00, over 6,000 visitors came to heal and pay their respects to family, friends and this great country’s brave servicemen!!

While we were taking down the wall, we had a last minute visitor that came to find his brother. Ironically, his brother was on the next panel to be taken down…this very much sounds to me like God putting us all in the right place at the right time. We all paused for a moment, I helped him find his brother’s name, another lady did the pencil etching of his brother’s name for him to take home, Greg took a picture of him pointing to his brother’s name…then when we took that panel down, he got to es**rt his brother to the truck. What a moving moment!!

A volunteer that was helping to take the wall down, also had a brother whose name was on the wall. He actually carried (with the assistance of another volunteer) his brother’s panel to the truck. As they took that first step towards the wall, he said…”Let’s go home brother.” 😢

I would highly recommend, if the wall ever comes to a city near you, take the time to go see it!! And if able, volunteer…it will definitely be a moment you won’t forget!!
