Our vision is to help children have a happy birthday, who may not have had one otherwise.

Too hot to be outside? How about cleaning out your closet to support our mission!

Birthday Wishes Ministry is planning some special fall pop-ups and sales, and we need your help!
If you have any gently used women’s accessories (purses and jewelry) you’d be willing to donate, please drop them off at one of our porch box locations:

Winding River - 1629 Golfer’s Ridge Drive, Bolivia
St James - 3077 Morning Ride Circle
Oak Island - 4108 E. Yacht Drive

Also, Crossroads Gathering Place has a collection box for Birthday Wishes at all times.

Our collection dates will be Monday, August 10 through Monday, August 31.

Your generosity helps provide birthday gifts and birthday cake/party boxes for children ages 1 to 17 in Brunswick County.
Our mission is simple: to give every child the opportunity to celebrate their special day!

I wanted to give a shout out to all of our dedicated volunteers! Without you all this ministry could not be such a success! By you all stepping up to manage and coordinate our sites and tasks, is so well distributed that we can all enjoy the other parts of our life too! This means so much to me, that words cannot even express. From card making, wrapping gifts, pricing ladies accessories and most of all, serving our children's families in our community. Beautiful handbags in this week! All look like they’ve never been used! Prices and ready to go into our two boutiques! Visit Crossroads Gathering Place on Oak Island or The Bazar in Wilmington! Lots of new things weekly! Thank you to all who donate to our ministry!!!

Happy Birthday! That was the goal of the first wrapping party for the CT chapter of Birthday Wishes Ministry. 17 volunteers wrapped 99 gifts and made 25 cards. These will be given to children whose families visit the local food pantry. Thank you to all of our volunteers and donors. You are truly making a difference💚

Thank you ladies yet again for all your work this week wrapping over 200 gifts! Your dedication is so amazing ! I thank God for all of our precious volunteers helping to make a difference in the lives of the children in our community!

Another amazing day! Such beautiful amazing women supporting Birthday Wishes Ministry! Fourteen women wrapped 208 gifts in 2 hours! Beautifully done ladies! I loved meeting our three newest volunteers! Thank you all!

What a great morning! This group of ladies built 242 Birthday Boxes today! Thank you to all who donated the materials and for volunteering your time! We give out approximately 50 of these per month at the two food pantries in our area!

Thank you St. James Service Club for your generous support! Deb and I had the privilege of accepting a 2026 Grant for Birthday Wishes Ministry at their annual brunch! Their support each year helps so many children to celebrate their special day! Their fundraising events throughout the year supported 37 non-profits this year!
