DON'T MISS OUT....
Pond Seminar – Follow a Drop of Water Through Florida
Put on your science and history hat and join us for a fascinating seminar exploring the hydrology and ecology of water in Florida.

Follow the journey of a single drop of rainwater as it moves from land through freshwater ponds, into subtropical estuaries, and ultimately toward the sea or underground aquifers.

This engaging presentation will highlight Central Florida’s aquatic and marine habitats, as well as the plants and wildlife that live along the salinity gradient—from freshwater ponds to barrier islands.

Presenter: Daniel Roberts, Eagle Audubon Society
Date: April 24, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM
Location: Veterans Theater

This educational event is sponsored by the Master Association’s Stormwater and Pond Management Committee.

Community Notice: Dog Park Area Construction

Residents are advised that work will begin tomorrow to remove the concrete on Clubhouse Drive near the dog park. Crews are scheduled to start around 8:00 AM and will continue working throughout the day.

During this time, dump trucks and heavy equipment will be operating in the area, and residents should use extreme caution when traveling nearby.

Please be especially careful when driving golf carts after exiting the cart bridge in the direction of the dog park, as trucks and equipment will be entering and exiting the work zone.

If the concrete removal cannot be completed tomorrow, the crew will return Friday to finish the work.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation while this work is completed safely.

📸 A Special Visitor on the Closed Golf Courses!

Our Pond Committee recently captured some great trail cam photos showing new gopher tortoise burrows on the closed golf courses. These incredible animals are a protected species in Florida and play an important role in the ecosystem.

Please remember that gopher tortoises and their burrows are protected by law. It is illegal to disturb, handle, or block their burrows in any way. If you come across one while walking the paths, please enjoy observing from a distance and avoid getting too close to the burrow areas.

Thank you for helping us protect the wildlife that shares Kings Point with us! 🐢🌿

We are currently seeing protected wildlife in areas of the community that should not be disturbed. Gopher tortoises, which have long been common in the back part of the property, are now burrowing new homes on the closed golf courses backing up to the Lancaster and Manchester areas. These areas have been cautioned off, and residents are asked to please leave them alone. We also currently have nesting sandhill cranes in around pond 33 in Nottingham, pond 24 in Devonshire/Edinburg, pond 23 in Brookfield and pond 19 in Oxford 1 & 2. These birds are also protected and should not be approached, disturbed, or interfered with in any way.
