American Legion Auxiliary SC Unit 21 we serve a sizable active veterans community and our Auxiliary presents an opportunity for spouses, youth, and young adult women to participate. ALA Membership offers various opportunities for individuals to join; please review the accompanying image to assess eligibility. By working together, we can create a meaningful difference in our community for veterans and their families.

Christmas is just around the corner and some families are looking for assistance to help spread the joy of the season. All too often, charities overlook the "working class poor", but there is hope. If you fall into this category, know that there are numerous organizations dedicated to helping. American Legions often have affordable Christmas shops and some posts offer funding assistance. Unit 21 has compiled a list of organizations for you to explore. Flyers and links are listed here.

A reminder that Sunday, Dec. 1, is Day.
On the first day of every month, members are encouraged to wear a Be the One item to show their commitment to reducing the stigma around issues among and servicemembers - and to start a conversation about what Be the One is and how to save the life of a veteran. Legion posts should also promote Be the One on the first day of every month.
